My Favorite Nancy Drew Games Part 2

Now that I have shared my first set of my favorite Nancy Drew games, now it's time for part 2 of my favorite games.  This post will focus on games 11 - 20, which if you ask me is probably going to be one of the hardest post to writ since I love so many games in this set.  Also, if you haven’t read my first post yet sharing my favorite Nancy Drew games in the set 1-10 then click here.  So now let's get started!

Just as a rules from before, the list is in order from older to newer games.  This helps make it easier for me to keep track of the games I have picked and its not because I favor one game over another.

Curse of Blackmoor Manor
Im not sure if its the large castle with the secret passage ways that gets me intrigued with the game or the fact that there is so much to do, puzzle wise in the game.  Going to England and the dark moor that awaits you, with pitch black tunnels where secrets and mystery are around every corner.  While staying at the manor, you are asked to find out why one of the current residents, Linda is acting so oddly.  With the manor being haunted by ghost, is it more than just  the thoughts of the mind or is there something more to this haunted home.

Secret of the Old Clock
I am a big history buff, especially when it comes to the fashion and simplicity of items that the past has to offer.  Though this one isn’t too far back in time, I still love this game as if has so much to offer.  While visiting your friend Emily Crandall, a fire breaks out in the kitchen.  Later leading to Emily finding her mothers jewelry stolen.  It's up to you to find the jewelry as well as investigate a will left by Josiah Crowley, where he told people in the town he left money too.  You also can play mini golf and drive a cool Blue Roadster all around town.  Just “don’t take any wooden nickels.”

Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon
There is only two words I can use to describe why I like this game and that is, Hardy Boys.  This was the first game that we got to interact with Frank and Joe Hardy and you get to travel on a haunted train.  I don’t really know what it is about this game but I just love everything about this game.  First we get to explore an amazing train that has so much detail and design put into it, but it's also haunted.  I also love the fact that you can visit a cemetery in this game which added a new layer to the game.  Even though you were invited to find the original train owners mine, this game is full of puzzles and mystery as you try to discover the mine.

Danger By Design
For the longest time I used to want to create pretty dresses and design clothing which led me to love this game.  Though I don’t partially want to create clothes any more, I still love the idea of creating amazing clothes just like this game expect mine are a little more … ahem… Victorian Fashion…. Anyway, this game focuses on you investigating Minette as she begins to act very strange.  This mystery leads you to traveling all around Paris France!  Whats not to love about this game.  That and you get to bake cookies!

The White Wold of Icicle Creek
I always have a soft for games that take place over a period of time, such as you having to go to bed and wait until the next day to continue.  These kind of games add a more realistic feeling to the game since if it were real life then it could possibly take more than one day to get through specific tasks and activities.  Also the fact that you get to cook in this game is another reason why I love this game.  Sometimes its a pain to do the cooking especially if you have a lead where you need to go play in the snow but I still love it anyway.  That and I love just how long this game is.  It can take me about 6 hours of play with the walkthrough to get through it and its so much fun (Not actual play time, just an estimate).

I loved to play more of the earlier games in this set.  However, I still love playing Secret of Shadow Ranch, Creature of Kapu Cave, Legend of the Crystal Skull, The Phantom of Venice, and The Haunting of Castle Malloy whenever I get the change.  There is however one game that "shall not be named" that I will probably never play again just because of one stupid puzzle...

Thank you everyone so much for reading.  I have to say this section holds most of my favorite games and picking just the 5 I’ve listed above is probably one of the hardest things I have ever done.  There are so many great games in this section and to be completely honest, I love all of these games and I can't wait to play them again soon.

Until next time,
