Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies Review

Over the years I've played an arrange of games.  However, it was the first time I think I've ever played games based on anime before now.  Recently I played Phoenix Wright's Ace Attorney Dual Destinies, the fifth installment in the Ace Attorney series.  This game was created by CapCom in Japan and to be honest I never though I would play a game like this.

This game is from the CAPCOM Company in Japan and they released the game for IOS users in August 2014.  The first three Ace Attorney games were released in 2013 for IOS and thats how I first got into the series.  I was really excited to play this game since I had played the first 3 games and I could wait to play it.  So let's get started!

Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies: Athena Ckyes
The first case focuses on you as attorney Athena Ckyes, as you defend your client, Juniper Woods.  She is charged with bombing a courtroom.  Since this is the first case in the game you have to go through the tutorials in the game, which is a pain, but if you're new to the games then these can be very helpful.

Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies:  After Courthouse Bombing
The rest of the episodes in the game focus on the storyline moving forward in form the courtroom bombing, where you either play as Athena Ckyes, Apollo Justice, or Phoenix Wright.  Without giving too much of the main storyline away, each episode is a continuation from what happened previously and how it affects the characters moving forward.  I found that this was written very well and I was just dying to know what happened next.

Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies: Phoenix Wright 3D Design
When it game to the graphics of the game, I thought they looked amazing!  This game was the first of the Phoenix Wright games that used 3D models instead of 2D and I was so happy for the change as it brought all the characters to life.  I also loved the anime clips that they added in this game set, it really adds a new layer of depth to the game and I hope they continue doing adding these to future games.

Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies:  Athena Ckyes After Falling Downstairs
When it cam to the difficultly of the game, there were quite a few times I was stumped and not really sure how to move forward, however as long as you look at the evidence, listen closely to the testimony then its pretty self-explanatory.  But if you still struggle then I would highly recommend looking at a walkthrough.  If you ever just want to watch the game get played, then I would highly recommend watching Arglefumph's as he has played the entire game.

Thank you everyone for reading.  I'm a really big fan of these games and this game exceeded my expectations.  If you interesting interring the game out then the first case is free, however the rest of the cases you have to buy.  So have you played any of the Ace Attorney games, and if so, what did you like about them?  I would love to know in the comments down below.

Until next time,
